Calling all Encinitas Boardrider Wahines!
We are stoked to host our 4th annual Wahine Day on Friday, June 12th! If you have a daughter between the ages of 5-12 who is interested in or already loves surfing, this event is for them! They will be teamed up with our talented Encinitas Boardriders female surfers who are eager to share their love of surfing and teach the next generation of girls how to ride the waves with confidence!
Event Details:
Who: Girls aged 5-12
When: Friday, June 12th at 4:15 & 5:45pm
Where: Cardiff Reef
What to Bring: Sunscreen, swimsuit/wetsuit, towel, water bottle and a big smile! (Foam boards will be provided in Session 1)
Session 1: Beginner Wahines – 4:30-5:30pm (4:15 check in)
- Ages 5-10
- This session is for girls interested in or just beginning to surf
- Foam soft top surfboards will be provided and our surf mentors will push your daughter into inside waves
Session 2: Intermediate Wahines – 6-7pm (5:45pm check in)
- Ages 7-12
- This session is for girls with a little more experience who are comfortable paddling their own board
- Girls need to bring their own surfboard for this session
- Mentors will paddle with your daughter to the outside and help them get into waves
This program is designed to be fun, safe, and supportive, ensuring that every girl feels welcome and encouraged, regardless of her skill level. Whether she’s a complete beginner or has some experience, our members are here to help her improve and enjoy the thrill of surfing!
Please note: Participation requires a current Encinitas Boardriders membership. If you are not a current member, you will be prompted to join. Once you’ve joined, you need to go back and register for the Wahine event.
